An Introduction to Lorentz PV Solar Panels
These ranges of solar PV panels are manufactured by Lorentz, a German solar manufacturer with many years of experience in the industry.
The LA modules all use back-contact Sunpower solar cells, with efficiencies of approx 21.5%. Back-contact cells have all of the metallic strips seen on normal pv cells located behind the cell, thus exposing a larger surface area of the cell to sunlight.
The LA's solar cells are also particularly sensitive to lower light levels, performing well in more northerly climates. The high efficiency cells result in a more compact sized module, offering more power from a smaller area. Typically, as with most German engineering, build quality is excellent.
The LC range offer excellent performance for price, with high efficiency cells and high quality construction.
NB: Positive grounding is strongly recommended on these modules. They will not perform to specification if the frame of the module is not at the same voltage as the solar cells. Please see 'Positive grounding' link below for further technical details.
