An Introduction to Furling Inland Aerogen Wind Turbines
Aerogen Furling wind turbines are designed for providing power in remote land-based applications. The exceedingly high build quality and reliability has made Aerogens a firm favourite for providing power for critical research applications.
The stainless steel furling tail protects the rotor in excessive winds, thorough the use of a beautifully simple balance system. The simplicity of the furling system leads to exceptional reliability, and with many hundreds of generators now in use, there have been zero failures reported so far.
The Aerogen furling range consists of two models, the Aero4gen and the Aero6gen. They cover power requirements from 120w to 240w. With a wide variety of battery charging applications, Aerogen wind turbines are often combined with solar panels to form a hybrid power system.
Exceptional hand-built quality, using premium marine grade components, combined with a design developed over 25 years, gives the Aerogen range an enviable reputation for reliability.
Each model is available in a 12v or 24v version, and a matched range of high efficiency PWM charge controllers allow up to 3 separate banks of batteries to be charged from one wind generator.
